Without an air pump, most ponds (and aquariums) wouldn't be complete. Air pumps and, in certain cases, filtration systems keep your fish healthy and the water clear by supplying your pond with the oxygen it needs to thrive. There must be enough oxygen for all marine life.
Ten years is the average duration of a preformed pond liner. And while a few will last as long as 15 years, the majority will not reach the 10-year mark. In addition to designing and installing a brand-new pond with a new liner, you will need to remove the original pond.
The optimal pond ecosystem should contain a balance of sunlight and cover. Too much shade can inhibit plant growth, while direct sunlight on a pond is frequently the cause of green water or an algae bloom.
Consider the following factors when choosing a location for your pond:
Soil suitability, the form of pond you wish to construct, the availability and purity of water, and the area's topography must all be considered.
