Our porcelain tiles can be used with either an electric or wet underfloor heating system. When laying porcelain over underfloor heating, it is essential that the proper installation procedure and products be utilised and that the appropriate instructions be followed when turning on the underfloor heating. In this regard, you should seek guidance from your underfloor heating provider and tiler.
Before tiling a wet room, the background must be sturdy, watertight, or "tanked." Have your tiler look at it first. Since the floor in a damp space is likely to get wet and soapy, slip resistance should be considered. Selecting a tile with the proper slip rating is essential. Check out our manual on slip ratings.
A mop and some clean water will do the trick for tile floors most of the time. Extra grime may take a professional tile cleaner and more effort.
As grout and adhesive residue attract dust and grime, the tiles must be well-cleaned before installation. A tile cleaner designed for grout lines should be used to remove glue residue from newly laid tiles. Specialised tile cleaning products should be used after grouting is complete. During the tiling process, your tiler should do this for you. All outdoor tiles are subject to the same conditions.
