Plastering costs depend on what needs to be done, room size, and access. Simple plastering repairs cost less than plastering a room. Skimming a wall is cheaper than plasterboarding but takes longer and requires more materials. If you can offer the room dimensions, we can give an estimate over the phone, but to give a quote for the plastering work, we'll need to see what's needed, inspect the area, and measure it.
We plaster Redditch, Droitwich, Bromsgrove, Worcester, and Worcestershire. We have plastered various types of projects in the UK.
Plastering takes 3-5 days to dry. The plaster's thickness affects drying time. Before skimming, a foundation layer of bonding plaster may be needed to cover voids, big cracks, or gaps. The plaster may need a longer time to dry in thicker sections. The plaster may take two weeks to dry after filling.
Dry lining or sheetrock is a substitute for damp plaster. Dry-lining a wall involves adhering plasterboard to the wall and filling the joints with jointing tape and compound. Skimming the plasterboard by a professional plasterer produces, in our experience, a significantly superior finish. Easefix plasterers can assist with dry lining and outlining your property's walls and ceilings. Please get in touch with us for advice and a no-obligation estimate on your plastering project.
